Can you split payment on DoorDash?
Not on a regular order. DoorDash’s help center documents no way to divide one order between two cards or two people at checkout, and no “split the bill” button. Three documented exceptions let a second payment method or a second person cover part of an order:
A redeemed DoorDash gift card becomes credit on your account. If it doesn’t cover the whole order, DoorDash says a primary payment method is needed for the rest.
At stores that take SNAP, the EBT card pays for eligible food. A linked credit or debit card pays the fees, taxes, tip, and anything not SNAP-eligible.
A group order set to “Everyone Pays Separately” (DoorDash calls it Split Billing) has each person pay for their own items. It also divides the fees.
The first two put one person’s order on two payment methods. Only the third splits an order between people, and it is the one DoorDash explains least.
