How to Split Instacart Receipts

How do I handle replaced items?
Instacart shows both the original item and the replacement on the receipt. splitty reads the actual amount charged. If the replacement cost more and it wasn't your item, assign it to the right person.
Can I split shared household items separately?
Yes. Mark items like paper towels or dish soap as shared, and splitty divides them among the people you select. Personal groceries go to individuals.
What about tip for the shopper?
Tip appears on the receipt. You can split it equally among everyone, proportionally based on items, or assign it to whoever placed the order—your call.
Does this work for Costco orders through Instacart?
Yes. Instacart Costco orders generate the same receipt format. All items, fees, and tip are visible and splittable.
What if quantities are wrong?
If the shopper bought 3 of something but you only wanted 2, adjust in splitty before splitting. You can edit quantities or remove items entirely.
